    The number of baby boys that are born with deformed genitals has doubled over the past 2 decades. For the past 30 years, the birth of baby boys has also declined in more than 20 industrialized countries.

    Scary stuff

    Sexual mutation does not only happen in humans. 80 percent of the MALE fish known as “smallmouth bass” in the Potomac watershed near Washington are now producing eggs!

    Disappearing males

    In the heavily polluted Lake Apopka (Florida, USA) only female turtles can be found - males are no longer born. 50 percent of the male alligators in the lake are born with deformed genitals. Others even develop female ovaries.

    More disappearing males

    In 28 rivers in England where trouts were released and examined some weeks later, male trouts had developed female ovaries. Among North American herring gulls the sex ratio is so unbalanced that females mate with each other in frustration.

    Decreasing male sex ratios

    In First Nation community (Chippewa) in Canada, the sex-ratio dropped from around 50/50, to roughly one-third boys and two-thirds girls over a period of less than 10 years. The region is heavily industrialized… Check out the alarming documentary “The Disappearing Male”.
